X-Ray Tomography - High Energy
Unique X-ray micro-tomograph, the DTHE (High Energy Double Tomograph) allows the characterisation of materials that strongly attenuate X-rays and the simultaneous acquisition of two scans. Developed by the company RX Solutions, it was commissioned in April 2022. It is equipped with two 300 kV Hamatsu X-ray tubes and two Varian detectors with a field of view of 28 cm by 28 cm. It allows data acquisition at voxel sizes between 5 and 100 microns. Its centring plate can support parts weighing up to 50 kg and allows the insertion of in-situ testing devices (mechanical stress machines, heaters, freezing devices, etc.).
