BioRad 96-well real-time PCR instruments (SybrGreen, TaqMan, other probes, etc.).

Acquisition: three devices acquired in 2009 and 2016 for DTAMB by the BioEEnviS federation. One 2-color device, the CFX Connect, and two 6-color devices, the CFX96 DX and the CFX96 Touch.

Applications:

Absolute quantification qPCR
Relative quantification qPCR
Melting curves
HRM (High Resolution Melting)
Possibility of working with temperature gradients.


Software:

There are two versions of the software for controlling and analyzing data generated on the CFX: CFX Manager software (older version) and CFX Maestro software (recent version). The two software programs are very similar, but CFX Maestro offers a few additional features compared to its predecessor: a reference gene selection tool and a statistical analysis tool (coupled with an optimized plate layout editor).

To install the software on your computer, please contact DTAMB staff, who will provide you with the executable files.

The DTAMB provides instructions for using the CFX Maestro software. These instructions also cover how to use the CFX Manager software.

We currently have three Bio-Rad CFX96 quantitative PCR thermocyclers.
