Because static measurements under MRI do not reveal the physiological aspect of the organs, and because in many diseases, symptoms will only be apparent when a load is applied or during movement, it is interesting to be able to produce physical stress for the human body inside an MRI machine.

Our platform has an MRI compatible ergometer (ErgoSpect Medical technology) including the Cardiovascular and Quadriceps, Triceps, Hamstring and Tibial anterior modules. It is available to all academic or industrial users under specific conditions according to the rates set by the management of the Saint-Etienne hospital (CHUSE).
