Biomeck i5 pipetting robot
In 2024, DTAMB acquired a pipetting robot, the Biomek i5 from Beckman, funded by EquipEx InfectioTron.
This new equipment, equipped with 8 pipetting channels (called “Span8”) and 25 positions, offers new possibilities in terms of developing high-throughput techniques.
The Biomek i5 enables the following molecular biology applications:
Filling 96- or 384-well plates for qPCR
Purification of nucleic acids on beads
Preparation of sequencing libraries
Preparation of plates for analysis with the Fragment Analyzer
This tool is now available for free use on the platform, subject to prior training provided by DTAMB staff.
This robot allows for a wide variety of applications. Please contact DTAMB staff to set up appropriate programs on the robot.
