The image flow cytometer, Luminex ImageStream X MarkII, has 4 lasers and 2 cameras allowing to measure 12 parameters simultaneously: 2 "brightfields", 1 "darkfield SSC” and 9 fluorescence channels. 3 objectives are available x20 (1 µm / pixel), x40 (0,5 µm / pixel) et x60 (0,33 µm / pixel).
This instrument, bridging the gap between cytometry and microscopy, is ideal to study cell signaling, internalization and phagocytosis, cellular colocalization, cell morphology, cell death and autophagy and as well cell cycle and stem cells. Studies are done on very large number of cells at the single cell level with a speed of a maximum of 1000 events / second
