This device can measure b particles from any pure b emitter. After sample preparation, a fraction of sample liquid associated with a scintillating liquid is analyzed. Ranges of energy are defined according to the considered radionuclids. This analysis technique is also adpated for the measurement low energy b-particles such as those emitted by tritium and carbon 14. This specific device has a BGO which allows for improved sensitivity, it is preferred for environmental measures.
