EXPERIMENTAL SETUP FOR SAFETY ASSESSMENTS OF NEW ULTRASOUND IMAGING MODES
Imaging and analysis of living organisms > Ultra sound scanner
This setup is composed by 3 DC motor driven translations (OWIS), an hydrophone (pressure sensor under water) model capsule (Onda) and a scope (LECROY). The hydrophone is immersed in a tank with filtered and degassed water by the water conditioner from Precision Acoustics. A Matlab code control all the components to measure and calculate acoustic safety indexes : mechanical index, Thermal index and Ispta. It is compatible with all system ultrasound scanner and probe, if the ultrasound scanner can deliver a trigger signal.
